Weather conditions have a direct impact on the comfort and safety of our passengers, a factor we unfortunately cannot control. That’s why we regularly consult, sometimes several times a day, the available marine weather forecasts. We strive to interpret this information carefully and inform you promptly in case of cancellation or rescheduling.
If weather conditions worsen but Black Tenders Events decides to proceed with the excursion, this means we believe that, despite a few drops of rain or moderate wind, the experience will remain enjoyable and memorable.
If the conditions are unfavorable, Black Tenders Events reserves the right to cancel the boat trips. Two options will then be offered:
Rescheduling your excursion based on availability.
Cancellation with a full refund of your booking.
Please note that Black Tenders excursions are also available through various resellers. If you purchase your tickets from a site other than www.blacktenders.fr or our team at the counter, the sales conditions of the merchant site where you bought your tickets will apply, not ours. If this is the case, please contact the customer service of your reseller.

In the morning, the light is stunning, with vibrant colors revealed by the moisture of the night. This unique atmosphere brings out the full beauty of the coastline. Then, as the sun reaches its zenith, the hues of the sea and the underwater world become particularly mesmerizing. In the afternoon, it’s a completely different spectacle, with softer colors and a different vibe. We have a preference for morning outings as well as the last one of the day, as the weather is often calmer, and we have the chance to enjoy the sea in complete tranquility, often being the only ones on board.
Seasickness occurs when the inner ear and vision do not communicate properly aboard a boat. The brain struggles to anticipate the boat’s movements and fails to process sensory information coherently.
Black Tenders Events boats are designed with a low center of gravity, which significantly reduces rolling and, as a result, seasickness. To minimize symptoms, there is a simple rule: Cold, Hunger, Fatigue.
On the day of your excursion, it is essential to be well-rested and have eaten before boarding. Contrary to popular belief, skipping a meal does not prevent seasickness — quite the opposite! If you are prone to nausea, medications such as Mercalm or Nausicalm can be effective, as long as they are taken at least 1 hour before boarding. If you feel unwell during the excursion, don’t hesitate to contact the captain, who will do everything possible to help you feel better.
During the excursion, a stop is planned at a unique location where the captain will take the time to drop anchor. This is the perfect opportunity to relax with a cold drink and fully enjoy the moment. For some, it will be the chance to take part in a diving contest or explore the underwater world. This refreshing break also allows you to swim in one of the small coves, offering a moment of relaxation and camaraderie.
Please note: Black Tenders Events is not a diving school and does not offer snorkeling trips or similar activities. Swimming is done at your own risk. As stated in our Terms and Conditions, in the event of an incident or authorities' inspection, Black Tenders Events cannot be held responsible.
The team of pilots at BLACK TENDERS EVENTS is made up of maritime professionals, all holding at least a 200 UMS captain's license. This internationally recognized certification can only be obtained after completing training at a maritime school and accumulating a specific number of sailing hours. The certification includes several modules that are highly sought after today, including:
Medical training level 1
Basic Safety Training Certificate (CFBS)
Restricted Radio Operator Certificate (CRO)
Our captains are also trained in maneuvering and navigating in difficult weather conditions
Black Tenders Events is committed to recruiting only highly qualified personnel to ensure the safety and comfort of its passengers.
The Black Tenders fleet consists of commercial-use vessels, registered with the relevant authorities, specifically the merchant navy. During their construction, these vessels must comply with a strict set of specifications and requirements related to passenger transport. Maritime authorities determine the necessary equipment on board to guarantee passenger safety and provide first aid. Only a certified merchant navy captain is authorized to operate these types of vessels, not a holder of a coastal or offshore license obtained in just a few days.
Insurance and professional civil liability (RCP) are also essential for carrying out this regulated activity. Every year, the Ship Safety Center (CSN) conducts inspections of the Black Tenders Events fleet, checking safety equipment, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, life jackets, pyrotechnic lockers, and more. The CSN then issues a one-year navigation permit, allowing us to legally transport passengers.
Note: Individuals who rent their vessels with a skipper for passenger transport for a fee, using a vessel not registered as a commercial-use ship, are committing a serious offense for illegal command operation and can be prosecuted for concealed work.
